Hot Stuff

Last fall, our heating system decided to fail during our first cold days. Evidently the cooling system didn’t want to be left out. It didn’t die during normal business hours, of course, but waited until Friday afternoon. Not wanting the expense of weekend repairs, we decided to stick it out until Monday. The temperatures have peaked near 100F both yesterday and today, so it has been less than comfortable. We’ve drank lots of ice water, had no cook meals and stayed inches from the fans.

We were ready for a break and went to the movies late this afternoon. My granddaughter wanted to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins. It was perfect for us. Two hours of icy cold air conditioning in the theater and plenty of snow and ice on the screen.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news for the AC. If not, we’ve already discussed trips to the mall and the library. I’ll try to get on the computer too, but can’t make promises until things are a bit cooler.

When it rains it pours (notice the connection to this weeks photo? LOL!) Good luck with your air.

    Oh Lord, I’ve been there.
That happened to me last year, my AC broke during the summer. No way to repair it either. My room turned into a sauna! Now I got a nice, new and crisp AC.

Oh, no! Hope it gets straightened out soon!
