I’ve spent the last three days organizing photos. When my parents came to live with us, they brought boxes of photos. Some were theirs and others had belonged to their parents. I found myself strangely attracted to a couple of places that really didn’t meet our needs. It took a few moments to realize that each showed a photo with a porch swing. My maternal grandparents had a swing on their porch and every family reunion found their grandchildren vying to sleep on it. We usually lost to an adult, who had the same idea, but I have fond memories of hours spent playing on that swing. Read more »
