Just Say No

I’m looking forward to our move, although I know there are some things that I will miss. Our neighbors aren’t on that list, at least those who see Calico as their personal taxi service. She doesn’t mind helping out occasionally, but a couple of our neighbors have really taken advantage of her kindness. One does offer money for gas. The other seems to think this is a free service. She’ll cough up a dollar or two, if Calico says something, but rarely enough to cover the cost of the trip. I’ve told Calico that she needs to institute a “Just Say No” policy for our new home.
We will miss Jed and Cathy, whose unconventional romance has kept us smiling. Cathy has been looking at men’s wedding bands and says they have set an August wedding date. We’ll be gone by then, but wish them the best.

I hope your move goes smoothly and you soon settle in to your new home. Maybe Calico will have learnt by experience but she’s a kind girl and obviously likes to help.

You might be coming back for the wedding?
