Apple Stew

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, our house should be really healthy. It’s a rare day, when there isn’t a bowl of apples sitting on our kitchen counter. It encourages us to select a healthy snack and it’s been a great weapon in fighting the battle of the bulge. Baked apple pancakes are one of our favorite winter meals and Calico has come up with a reduced calorie version that tastes positively sinful.
While we are in agreement on edible apples, the computer variety has caused a bit of a stew. They are the official computer on Calico’s campus and used in all their tech classrooms. Calico really wants one, while I’m content to keep my Windows PC. For one thing, its cheaper. For another, I’d just as soon avoid the learning curve. Calico is quick to point out that Apple’s don’t suffer from the security issues that plague Microsoft, particularly when I’ve been fighting with my antivirus software. Today, I was reading an article that claims the increased popularity of Apple computers has also made them the newest target for hackers and malware. I can’t wait to see Calico’s face, when I tell her that antivirus for MAC is the wave of the future, unless, of course, she wants a wormy apple.

Our Granddaughter also HAD to have one. I didn’t know they were becoming a big challenge for the hackers and virus spreaders.
