A Fine Finale

We’ve been watching American Idol since its second season and it is always a bit of a letdown, when the season ends. There was a lot of talent this year, particularly among the female contestants. It’s no secret that after several seasons of male wins, the producers were hoping for a woman to take the title. It’s a shame that they felt the need to accomplish this by selecting guys who couldn’t begin to compete with the female talent. A more equally stacked deck would have added a lot to the early weeks. I have no quarrel with the outcome, however, and couldn’t have asked for better finalists than winner, Candice Glover, and runner up, Kree Harrisson.

We’re watching The Voice for the first time this year and thoroughly enjoying it. It is helping to ease those end-of-idol blues.

:) I’m glad you like her, GMa. I do too.
To me she is the epitome of a nice hometown girl.
Did you know that her ‘other job’ was to rent out
golf carts and sell stuff at the local golf course?
