Mommy’s sick. I bet this pretty flower will make her stuffy nose feel better. (78)

A budding botany career ended abruptly, when a ten-legged bug crawled up the quizzical child’s arm. (99)

Succinctly Yours offers a weekly photo and word as inspiration for your microfiction. How low can you go? Choose the 140 character or 140 word option.

This week’s word was cynical.

A duo of cute ones, Linda! That quizzical child might make history some day for having discovered a ten-legged bug!

  2. Jim Says:

They are both excellent, GMa. Poor Mommy, she’s just trying to help.
But you let a ten legged creature near me and I’d scream, run, and change vocations.

“Quizzical all by itself is 9 characters, thought the writer, but I have to say something about this picture. Cute kid. How’s that?” (130 characters)
I’m not really back to participating yet, but hoping to do so soon.
Meanwhile, I think your #1 here is classic. How many allergy-prone moms have found themselves in precisely that position? In bed with sinusitis, and along comes a thoughtful toddler with a pretty weed!

So sorry I missed you this week. I worked the entire week end and then was told when I showed up at work yesterday (8 am) we were working till 11 pm. I love your cute photo and your micro-fiction to go with it. Blessings!
