Fresh and Flavorful

My daughter does the cooking at our house and I have no complaints.  She makes most of her meals from scratch and incorporates plenty of fruits and veggies.  The food is perfectly seasoned and the variety is endless. Truthfully, I could happily let her cook for us everyday.    I remember my own years of being the cook, however. and know that she needs a break.    So we go out to eat from time to time.

Cavoodlin’? What’s that? Could it be a new type of sport? Or is it a euphemism for something a bit risqué? No, it’s just Grandma getting a bit of a canine education. That’s the story in a nutshell, but read on for the unedited version.

Let me assure you that we’re not in the market for another dog. We adore our border collie. While, at the age of eleven years, he’s showing a few signs of slowing down, we’re hoping to enjoy him for many more years. Read more »

Slim lost 50 lbs on a yam diet, but Shorty gained weight. Guess no one told him that butter, brown sugar and marshmallows weren’t included. (140)

I had cataract surgery on my right eye a couple days ago. While distance vision is already much sharper, it’s taking a bit longer with reading. Everything is still a bit blurry. So please forgive me for my tardiness in visiting your site. I’ll be there soon. That’s a promise!
