How low can you go?

Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more.

Want more challenge? Use the word of the week in your story. This part is optional.

I’ve changed the Linky time to accommodate those who prefer to play on Sunday. It will open on Sunday at 12:15AM, although I will continue to be more of a Monday player.

How do I come up with the weekly word?
I don’t. I ask my daughter for a word. She hasn’t seen the picture. That makes it more fun for both of us. Hopefully, you are enjoying it too.

Photo for Monday, August 1st.

Fairy Godmother gave her the toughest assignments. It would take more than bibbidi-bobbidi-boo to turn this one into a glass slipper.

Susan at Stony River supplied a photo of the historic Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for this week’s microfiction challenge. Described as “a sanctuary for the mentally ill in the mid 1800’s”, the building is filled with history and legends. Click on the photo to learn more about it.

I tried to find an upbeat story, but couldn’t get past the hauntings.

Years before, the doors were locked and that window was her light at the end of the tunnel. If only it had been on the ground floor.
